Police believed that drunk driving was a factor in causing the car wreck. Another pedestrian was killed at the juncture of State Road 234 and Cherry Street, at 10:42 a.m. on the morning of June 25, 2008. On July 31, 2008, one person was killed in a single-vehicle accident that took place at 11:11 a.m. on East Broad Street.
