One car accident occurred on June 2, 2008, at 6:50 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 3 and Mars Hill Rd. Two vehicles collided, and one person was killed in the wreck. The second was a two-car collision that occurred on August 8, 2008, on Main Street, at 3:13 p.m. in the afternoon.

2007 saw another two tragic deaths as a result of car accidents in Alpharetta. A driver was killed on June 24, 2007, in a one-vehicle accident that occurred at 5:06 a.m. on Mitchell Hill Drive. A driver killed a pedestrian on Henry Court in a subdivision called Summer Trace on August 26, 2007, at 5:45 p.m. in the late afternoon.

On Christmas Eve, 2006, a pedestrian was killed in an accident at the corner of Lake Acworth Dr. and Ragsdale Rd. One person died in a fatal car wreck on County Road 30 that occurred on June 2, 2005 at 10:38 a.m. A second person died in 2005 on September 12, and a third person died on December 19, 2005. The third wreck occurred at the intersection of State Road 92 and Maryland Drive, when a pedestrian was hit by a car.

In 2003, a person died in a wreck that occurred in the evening at 8:26 p.m. on U.S. Highway 41, also known as State Road 3. Another person died on the same road on November 15, 2003, at 8:17 a.m. in the morning.

One person was killed in a two-car crash that occurred on July 22, 2002, at 2:12 p.m. on State Road 92. On January 29, 1999, two people were killed in a two-car collision that occurred just after midnight at 12:25 a.m. Like many of the other fatal car wrecks, this collision occurred on U.S. 41/State Road 2.

In 1998 one person died on March 22, 2998, on U.S. 41/State Road 3, and another three people died on that same road in 1997. The 1997 accidents occurred on August 14, December 16 and October 5, 1997.
